Yoga for Pregnancy: Relieve those swollen legs!

 

 

Purpose of the Props

chair and bolster - This pose can be done with the back to the floor. If this creates lower back problems the incline that is created by these two props is a solution. Since lower back problems are common in pregnancy the pose is demonstrated with the props.

block - For those who don't have the flexibility in the legs and hips as yet, to allow the buttocks to reach the ground.

blanket - To allow the head to rest comfortably while the chest keeps well open.

rolled small towel (not shown and is optional) - A tightly rolled towel place underneath the front crease of the ankles will remove any discomfort from the tops of the feet.
